Plastic CPU's

Ok well I was away I saw a news advert about building cpu's out of plastic I cant find too much but this little bit

I've seen info about OLED based displays, but not CPUs.

"the material was still "orders of magnitude" away from the speeds necessary for microchips" so im guessing this is another one for the future, like optical computing.

From what i have read, they have managed to make an optical buffer recently, which helps them deal with the sheer speed of light and combining signals at the right time.
