Hello again :D

At this tie I am at a point of twisted Interresst. I got the R4BE and 3 GTX 680´s (hope so) becoming the next finished build im working on. So now there is a Question in my Mind going on.

Should i get a pretested 4930@4,3@1,2V 385 Buggs
or a 3970 for 430 Buggs

or what woud power up these 3 Gaphiks? Would a 3930 still enough to do the Job?

Thanks Poeople for Help

I cant decide waht to do

3930k is the best choice for the job.

Overclocks the same as a 3970X with the same performance.

4930k may be newer but is not as good at overclocking.

I use a 3930k to drive 4 Titans with no problems.

I also own a 3960X, 3970X, 4930k but the 3930k is the fastest out the lot of them when overclocked. All down to the silicon lottery.

Picked up a 3970K hopfully it will be able to get me in the right Direction =)

Youll probabl find that if you can actually overclock properly it will annihilate the above.

My 3970X is the best 2011 CPU I have out of the drawer full and thats why its in Orca :D

Really, that surprises me. Are the SB-E chips that much better overclockers than IB-E? I don't keep up that much with the Intel side but I thought Ivy was still the better option since it has a little higher IPC and overclocks almost as well or at least I thought it did. I have noticed that SB-E chips really haven't dropped in price that much so guess that's why.

IIRC it is pretty much the same as with SB compared to IB, where the SB CPU needs to be overclocked to around 400mhz higher than the IB to get about the same performance.

If I had a choice between a 3930k and 4930k I would take the 4930k for the better chance of running, faster ram at it's rated speed and lower power usage.

I would not

My 4930k running at 4.8 with three 290Xs is not as fast as my 3970X or 3930k at 4.9 with the same three cards. If they are at the same clockspeed card performance is practically identical.

Yeah right now at Newegg the 3820 is only $25 cheaper than the 4820 and the 3960X is actually $70 more than the 4960X!

This "Thing" i´m working on at this state of Time must have the Power for the next few Years....I dont want to Upgrade the CPU part since stacked Memory comes to the Graphics. So thats why i picked another Sandy and...the tickeling in my Head that say: DO IT..even if you get broke again =)
