This Tutorial will explain how to make some Tentacle Like Effects in a few easy steps.
Skill Level : Medium
Program Lang. : Ger
1. Create a Picture with the Sizes on the Picture, Check the Transparent Tickmark :
2. Choose the Polygone lasso Tool (should be on the left sieded ToolBar) :
3. Now create a new Layer by clicking the "New Layer Button" on the left button on the bottom of PS CS :
4. With the Lasso tool make a shape like this now :
5. Right Click on the Shape now and choose "Fill Space" (Fläche Füllen):
6. In the now following Dialogue Field choose 50% Grey(50 % Grau)(This may Vari):
7. After the Shape is now filled with grey click it again with the right mouse button and choose the first Option (Auswahl Aufheben) :
8. If you did everything right your picture should now look like this :
9. Now open the "Filters" Tap on the Top. Go to Distorsion Filter (Verzerrungsfilter) -> Vibrations (Schwingungen)
10. Now you schould play with the Options a little bit. At the end just take my Settings:
11. Now repeat all these Steps as long as you want (I did it 3 Times) and change the Options in Step 10 just a Little bit.
12. To let it seem a little more "Realistic" Right click on one of the Layers of your Tents with the right mouse Button. Choose "Filling Options" (2nd Option).
13. Here you can change the Options like you want them to be now. The best would be if you just try different setups in the 5th Menu (Blue Marked in Picture). My Settings you can see here :
14. IF you did a good job yours will probably look somehow like this or better :
15. To get a better effect you schould change the LAYER order. I did it like this :
