Phenom II X4 955 watercool?

Hello I have some money left over about 80 dollars. I dont know what to spend it on. I was thinking to spend it on water cooling my cpu which is a Phenom II x4 955 overclocked to 4.2GHz. The water cooling choice will also help me in the long run i think because i will be upgrading my cpu next year. What do you guys think should i buy it or wait till next year.

If you are OCing, get water cooling! Corsair H100series works exceptionally well , especially using Cougar fans. For a bit more money you could get the soon-to-be-released Swiftech H220.

Haha I said in the thread that the cpu is clocked at 4.2ghz. The default clock for my cpu is 3.2ghz. So yes i am overclocking. But my budget is 80 dollars

Yes I can watercool but the question is which watercooling solution to get at this point.

get a d-14 on the Phenom chip its just as good as decent water cooling. I got my 1090T to 4.5Ghz and it stayed nice and cool with my D-14

I am looking for something quiet and i think the air cooling solution will make more noise.

naw the D-14 is very quiet I'm running mine atm on my oc'd 2600K with a single fan and I cant hear it and I dont have any fan reducers on it.

I'm sitting at 34c idle 1.36vcore on a 4.5Ghz oc ambient temps about 26c.

Seems pretty much the same temps you would get on a H60. I guess i'll just wait to see which one goes cheaper.

Believe me, the ND-D14 is a far better cooling solution than the H60, it is closer to the H100 tbh
