I thought you guys did a misprint on the price . . . . . WTF??????????????????????????????????????????????

I'm a big... 'phan' of Phanteks so I'm giving them the benefit of the doubt. I want to see them make a truly exotic chassis that isn't as mechanically niche as the H-Frame or as boring as a Case Labs STH10.
Yup. I sure wouldn't mind a nice alternative, but this isn't it. This is overpriced as hell, and nowhere near CL level.
The problem as I see it is that this case looks far too similar to ones they sell for £100.
I'm a big fan of boutique PCs but this doesn't look like one of them.
Nothing, I just wanted to bash them for the outrageous price. What are you basing this on?
Nothing, I just wanted to bash them for the outrageous price.
Actually, now that I just watched the Hardware Canucks preview of this thing, I may eat my previous words. I still hate the price, but I didn't realize how many rads you can stuff into this thing. And the quality does look top notch. I love my CL M8, but I also agree with you that it's a boring black box. This thing offers much better aesthetics, rad overkill from hell, and outstanding build quality. If they dropped the price, I might consider it.
And Case Labs cases look boring yet people still happily fork £600-1000 for one. Two years ago if I had £400 to put to a case, I'd definitely look into Case Labs. But everyone and their grandma's dog has built the same system into a Case Labs case now. They're blank canvasses that people seem to just... build high-end systems in that all look pretty much the same. Boring.
Caselabs are expensive to manufacture. Aluminium is not cheap and the whole ethos of Caselabs is quality.
I would have no problem with this case, apart from the fact it looks exactly like their other cases and costs seven times as much.
And yeah I think Caselabs look boring but I also appreciate build quality. And I can really see it with Caselabs. This just looks like they took one of their existing cases and took out loads of rivets and replaced them with bolt in panels.
Will wait for proper photos, but they are already having trouble convincing me.
I can understand why they consider it a reasonable price but there is nothing really new it's just a fancy 900D to an extent
The 900D was rather poorly made. From the look of it, this Phanteks case is way beyond a 900D in every way.
I'll take three, along with my five subs to Nvidia's new gaming plan.
This is InWin territory here.... cases that no one actually buys but are mostly sponsored builds.
I would love to have it and deck it out with radiators, but for that then the Enthoo Primo would work well.
Price is just for laughs. Sponsored builds only for sure + 5960x Asus Rampage Extreme + Titan XP sli etc.
IF I had the money then I would buy just to have the most extreme build possible.
And the 900D was cr*p.
Nothing compares to CaseLabs.....No one.
Now if only you guys could come up with nice looking cases, we'd have better options. This is true!
I will say, however, from a enthusiast point of view, that I really like Phanteks designs. To me, they're the best mass-produced manufacturer out there right now, and every case they've released has had some really impressive features and a styling of their own to set themselves apart. They seem to have found their niche.
