Fractal revamps their ITX PC case lineup with their new Era 2 chassis

As a former ITX enthusiast this case does look quite enticing... Unfortunately new ITX boards are stupidly expensive.

Pretty much the reason I've ditched the idea of building an ITX system when I'm ready to. I'm just gonna stick to compact ATX or mATX because ITX boards are too expensive.

Everything is relative I'd say... Where I live, ITX boards aren't more expensive than their ATX counterparts. And you might say that ATX has more to offer, I disagree. The only thing that ATX has over ITX is more physical PCI slots. Although since one don't use more than 1 for the GPU, this isn't an argument really.

ATX has 4 memory slots, when for AMD, 2 is ideal due to more than that can cause issues. Hence ITX is more suitable in that sense.

For example the ASRock A620 and B650 ITX motherboards that are relatively good price for what you get and is regarded as a solid board.

Everything about ITX builds is just more expensive. It wasn't like that for a while until companies realized how much the SFF community would pay stupid money for exotic cases or more feature packed motherboards.
