I`ve just got a PCP+C, and I`m still on NF3, so the mobo socket is 20 pin. I used the 24-20 pin adapter from my Tagan, but it doesnt work.

I`ve noticed that the wire colours are different between the adapter and the PCP+C, whereas they match between the adapter and Tagan. I`ve followed the right cables to try a wire short between green and ground on the PCP+C, but when I add the adapter and try, nothing happens. I know electricity doesnt care about the colour of the wire it flows through, but until now, I`d thought all 24-20pin adapters were the same...does the PCP+C need a unit-specific adapter? Can I try my 20pin mobo directly with this 24-pin plug?

Any input welcome, any more details needed, please ask :) would be nice to have my rig under PCP+C power by the end of tonight.

Cheers,

Kenny

I`ve went over the pins on the 24-pin plugs on both my PSUs...they dont match. i`ve checked the colours and the pattern of the colours and...pretty different. Anyone know what going on?

Thanks,

Kenny

EDIT: Sorry, i`m a complete fool! The kind of PSU I bought is for servers and the pin layout is different.... I wont let that stop me though, I`m off to play with an ATX extraction tool.

Sorry for lowering the average IQ of the site :o

Ah! I was trying to surf there earlier today and noticed a lack of activeness..

Its an A4 layout that im trying to change to XE/AG :) Cant be bothered sending it off for a replacement, and I`m too impatient to source one in town tomorrow. I`m on a tight timeline...I`m away tomorrow afternoon till Thursday and it looks like the Vapochill is being sold on either Friday or Sunday..I wanna shot of the Vapo with this baby in!! :)
