PCP&C 510 big enough?

I've just been doing something thinking about the new rig and I'm kind of concerned with my psu not being up to the task... In addition to what I already have running on it I'll have 6 more 120mm fans, GTX's rather than 6800GT's which = lots more power consumption, 2 more hard drives, more ccfl's, and an extra IDE device (Zip 750).

I'm a bit worried that a 510w psu won't be able to supply a stable enough stream of power to that setup w/o overworking it to it's very last drop of sweat.

What do you all think? Worth an upgrade to an 850 SSI or 1kw unit?

fans use 2ish watts each ... the gtx is like and extra 5 ; the real power eaters are the ide devices bout 10 watts each ... hey give it a try and see if it explodes or not :)

but its the most accurate way of testin .. beeps and windows boots it works or boom it doesnt work very accurate

Well mate I have basicly the same system, I have 10 lights and 13 fans and my hardware it it seem to run fine, but I got a 1kw just in case ;)

I'll test the waters and see how she runs!

Yeah it has somewhere.

Mate I think the 510Sli will be enough. It supplies 600w+ at decent temps so 510w is the bare minimum it supplies. These sexy ass PCP&C's are power plants :D

But you could go the total overkill pathway a-la Eguy and get the 1kw version rofl :D (jk Eguy, just tooling with ya)

With 1k I know I'd be able to upgrade for years to come and never need a bigger PSU, lol... I mean think, when quad SLI hits mainstream that's gonna require some freakin' wattage :D hehe

Unless of course they come up with even MORE power connectors :p

It seems that way with the current technology trend, that's for sure. It's getting out of hand completely.
