So ordered a new power supply and graphics card, now with the 780 and PSU installed the PC won't gept past the splash screen. The error on my post LCD is 62. Does anyone know how I can fix this ?

Thanks, Dario.

The code is b2 and it's a Graphics error code with Gigabyte mobos, is your Bios up to date and ready for a new 780? Maybe contact Gigabyte to see if there are any incompatabilities.

Ah my bad thought it was 62. I'm downloading the newest bios to see if that will work as we speak

No probs, easy confusion I just wish all manufacturers used the same bios. Asus + MSI use AMIBios where as Gigabyte use Award or AMI UEFI Bios which all give different codes.

I had a XFX board that gave 62 (b2) code, one code pointed to DMA error and the other was graphics card failure.

Only really 2 things that come to mind with this, Bios update and make sure the 6 pin and 8 pin are all the way in the 780.

You have 2 options with Gigabyte either use QFlash (USB option) or @Bios (Windows option) I'd go with QFlash, load your new Bios update onto a USB drive and boot into your Bios then update your bios by selecting the USB drive.

@Bios is known to be a little buggy.

1 very important bit of information when you are updating/flashing your bios, Don't touch anything once it begins, Let it do it's thing, Your computer will restart quite a few times.

Its all good guys, Got it working :D Thanks for the help :) Now i'm gonna see how this performs over my old 670 :D

It will be the BIOS most likely yes, same happened with my Titans, wouldn't get past BIOS splash without an update, thankfully have 3 spare PCIE graphics cards to use as backups!

Only 3 spare ?

Let me go get my solid platinum diamond encrusted hydraulic keyboard and my mouse mat made from spare 4960X CPU's while I read some posts ^_^

Yeah updated the Bios to the newest one they had on the Gigabyte website, now I just need to update my Audio drivers according to the site.
