PC Refused to POST

Well, my old rig went to my brother when I built me new one, and a couple months later it started to gather some problems...

First it started to blue screen (Not sure when, too long ago)

Now the PC refuses to boot whatsoever.

Ive tried looking for the problem step by step... and now its down to motherboard or cpu...

When I press the power button the fans spin but it never posts and it will just stay like this forever?

Any ideas guys? Thanks in advanced!

tried reseating everything? clearing cmos?

Most everything has been reseated except for the CPU since I don't have spare TIM, and I've tried clearing the CMOS using the jumper but who knows if that worked since nothing shows on the screen... /cry

if you unplug the psu and take out battery on the mobo that will also clear cmos

have you also tried booting it with it just 1 ram module and gpu installed, unplug everything else

if you have any spare parts try swapping parts out

Try using a different graphics card, the old one may have caved for some reason. Was the rig overclocked?

EDIT: So no lights or nothing from the mobo? the fans are the only thing working?

try take the cmos battery out of the motherboard, wait 10 seconds and then put it back in and boot the pc up

Alas, still doesnt boot. Graphics card has been removed and still nothing. The rig was never overclocked. And there is a single red light when powered off, and then a green light along with the red when powered "on"

A light on when the rig is powered off?

I hate to say it but this sounds like what happened to my P4 a couple of years ago, the CPU fan failed and the CPU . . .well it melted essentially. You're gonna have to pull it to check.
