PC Game Cracking may become Impossible in 2 years

Demos aren't needed anymore. Live streamers took over that role in the last couple of years. Actually most games I buy today is based on viewing it live streamed, not reading reviews and such.

The biggest concern to me is how well a game is going to work on my hardware.

Well Steam and Origin offer refunds now so that will give people in the same boat an alternative to pirating the games.

Quick update to this, figured it may be interesting...

So I bought the legal legit copy of BLOPS 3. Installed it and it runs lovely. Then I noticed that when I was in the graphics menu the options did not seem right. I could have sworn that I saw higher settings.

After doing much Googling it seems that Treyarch released an update that adds one line into your game config that basically allows settings on the amount of VRAM you have.

Well it seems that with a Fury X if I disable this protection thing and up the settings the game just crashes.

*sigh*. It's a shame, because this title really does run beautifully well in Crossfire X @ 4k. Just a shame the texture handling part of the game is all screwed up and wants to load them all in at once, overloading the buffer on the Fury X.

Still, it's legit legal and mine. And I'm really quite enjoying it.

If I buy it, and it can't be played offline, then I'll resort to a crack.
