PC died !

Whilst at work.. ..came home, gaming pc - G15 had no lights >.<

Reset it, screeeeeching during windows boot progress thingy, halts then blue screen.

Dos works fine, bios ok and temps fine. (well still a quick flash from 30 to 12 degrees lol)

Think the harddrive died !!

hehe where are those cheap 80g drives . . . . .. .

I`m on the case ^.~

EDIT: eh, ok well I was going to install 64bit anyway, so that`s that - but the harddrive is ok.

I have a screeching sound coming from the cpu/mobo section when the cpu does any work !?!

I`ve touched each fan with a finger to stop them (thinking something`s brushing or something - but no)

I push down slightly on the Ninja and the screeching stops.

Only happens when the cpu does work, might strip the thing down 2morrow and re-apply it.

It`s really weird, like listening to an old C64 tape loading.

Not too happy I couldn`t play this game, but nvm.

Sound is so weird, u know like if u have a music player using earplugs for speakers cept not in your ears.

Goes in sync with the cpu working too lol

If I press on the Ninja, the fan is resting on the pwm sink... so in effect I`m pushing on it too ? lightly of course.

.. and climbing tbh the longer I keep it on.

Pretty sure they all used to be around 35/40 in bios.

CPU is @ 1.25v, 340x10, DDR2 2.225v MCH1.35, ICH 1.05

I'm beta testing football manager online atm.. I don't think its gonna take off to be honest. Its just not the same as the normal game. Nowhere near as addictive or even that good in its own right.

Folding is failing @ 100%, and I have a real idea that it`s cos the pwm is about to crap out again.
