I am very new to building my own system and this will be my 1st ever attempt at it. I tend to only update my PC once every 3-4 years so i need this system to last me few years.
Case: Corsair Carbide 500R Black Midi Tower Chassis
PSU: 750W Corsair HX Series Modular ATX2.2 SLI/Crossfire
CPU: Intel Core i5-2500K 3.30GHz
GPU: Gigabyte GeForce GTX 570 SOC 1280MB
Mobo: ASUS Sabertooth Intel P67
RAM: 8GB Mushkin Blackline (2x4gb) 1600MHz RAM Speed, CAS 9-9-9-24 Timings, 1.35v VDIMM
Cooler: Corsair H100 Water-Cooling
HDD: Will use the one from old System
Optical Drive: Will use the one from old System
Total: £925 but some of those parts are on offer ATM so i need to act quickly if i want to take advantage of those offers.
My reasoning and aims with this system or why some parts were selected:
I dont know how much information i should provide. But with my Budget at £900 and aim for 4.8-5.0 Ghz; If any of those parts that i linked can be downgraded to something else whilst capable of reaching that target please let me know.

- I opted to not get a SSD since i dont do any multi-tasking of any sort. I normally just turn on the PC and open Ventrilo and StarCraft2 for few hours each day after work. Since i was not going for the SSD option; then SSD caching of Z68 was no use to me so i looked in to a good p67 board and Asus Sabertooth had good reviews so i choose that.
- PSU: i just wanted something that is modular so it helps me keep things tidy and since i intend to use only one GPU i think 750W should be enough although i am not exactly sure on that so if i am wrong please correct me.
- GPU: EDITED: after suggestion by FunkyMonkey90; This is now changed to GTX 570 but RAM was also changed to 8GB.
