Patriot Pyro 60Gb SATA III Benchmark Results

I just got my computer set back up with my first SSD. Holy moly I didn't know what I was missing! SSD + SATA III = retarded crazy fast.

Boot to desktop with all startup programs loaded in 16 seconds, I don't even see a cottonpickin' Welcome screen haha.

Anyhow, this drive is definitely living up to my expectations.

After benchmarking she shows great 4k-16k read/write speeds which makes Windows absolutely blazing fast.

Sequential transfer speeds are amazing as well. The drive is actually reading faster sequential than specced. It's reading @ a max of 567mb/s and it's specced @ 520mb/s. The drive is just barely coming up short on quoted sequential write speeds. Actual benchmarked write speed is 460mb/s and is rated by Patriot @ a max 490mb/s but I'm not complaining as it's made up where it counts for me, in the read department!

I got this drive for $94.99 shipped from Newegg. I highly highly highly recommend it. I don't think it can be beat for this price range of drives!

Fairly impressive if I do say so myself.

Sequentially speaking it's a screamer of a drive. The money is in the small segments though (4k-64k) this is where you actually feel the speed. The results for this drive in that department are rather good as well.

I love it. I want another one for RAID 0 now, lol.
