Passed my driving test :D

just thought i would share it with everyone :D

passed it with only three minors :D

been learning since 25/7/07 though, so it has taken me enough time, and 47 lessons, but i did pass it on my first attempt :D

passed it in a manual, a 1.4 peugeot 206

3 minors were:

paralell park, hit the kerb, and had to pull back out and re-reverse in

at a junction, on a slope, i held it at biting point for about 30 seconds, i should have put the handbreak on

and at some point, i aparantly wandered over the white lines for 3 seconds...which got me a minor, ...i doubt anything was coming the other way, so it hardly matters :p but yea

i passed!

i passed!! :D

now THATS an achievement :D
 
Congrats man! One of the best days of my life when i got my license. Drove to a party, shocked all my friends, got smashed! (didnt drive home)

Cracking stuff.

Congrats dude, i got my drivers license awhile ago. Shame of it is I don't have my own vehicle (insurance rates are insane) and my folks don't let me take their car very much :(
 
Congrats mate! :)

I can't wait to get my full license, I just got my G1 temporary 3 weeks ago and I go for my G2 in ~8 months, I probably won't be able to get my own car for a few years to come though, thanks to rising costs of fuel and insurance.

aw, i know, my insurance on what is now my car, was 1700 quid, with me as a named driver, as it was origonally my grans car, but she signed it over to me when i passed :D

and the insurance still stands, as she has 54 years of no claims :D

'cos i'm 18, i could have taken my test when i was 17, but i wasnt ready, although the gov't is considering imposing a rule saying you can start learning when 17, but cant take your test til 18 .....stupid rule imo

aye, but as age goes up, insurance goes down :D
 
Congratz mate!!! must feel pretty damn well! passed my test third time. the thing tho, i havent taken any driving lessons, my dad was teaching me :) uhh yeah and taking test with peugeot 406 two litre FTW! :D
 
Congratulations on passing your driving test ionicle - well done! :) I guess that means the UK roads around your area are unsafe now lol :D

lol, at the same time as i took my test, another guy took his test in a bently :o i think he was doing a cheufers test or somthing though, but it was such a smart car, and actually quieter than the 206 i took my test in :p

it can be fun, it can be a bore at times, and it is one helova responcibility, but you've gotta enjoy it....

speeding down back country lanes at 60mph ....(i darent go over the speed limit........yet anyway :p) is nice and fun

and there's plenty of back country lanes neer where i live...
 
Congratulations mate, well done :D

Dont want to preach as the speed thing is new and everyone does it but please remember its better to get where you are going a little bit late than never at all.

Apply for an advance drivers course straight away if you can - your insurance will drop and you get to learn how to control skids like the STIG! :p
