Pascal Rumours Who's Excited

So now the rumour goes that only the fury x and titan will sport HBM2 an the remainder will have GDDR5X... that would be disappointing and I just might wait for Volta then, because I'd like HBM2 :p unless Pascal will be useful to me :)

Well low-mid range cards wouldn't really need HBM in the first place. GDDR5X isn't exactly a deal breaker. Any reason as to why you really want HBM other than just wanting it?

Playing around with it, new technologies are always interesting!

Sure, low to mid models don't need it, but the 70 & 80 models would be nice to sport it.

I doubt the 70 or 80 models will get HBM2. I imagine they'll most likely use DDR6, or maybe even HBM1, though I doubt it. HBM2 is exciting and it's cool to have HBM1 in my Fury, but performance is performance no matter where you get it from.

You mean GDDR5X I suppose

It's not said for sure what it's going to be called, but yeah. GDDR6 might be what they adopt as the name as it might better represent the evolution of the technology and help sell more graphics cards. I personally think GDDR5X is perfectly fine.

Nope, read the news section, it's GDDR5X

Do you like Chuck Testa, at least?
If that was what you were referencing, then I like nope. ;) Otherwise I hate it. Someone saying "No." or "Nope." before explaining where the person was wrong is one of the most irritating fallacies, where you pretend to come across as annoyed that someone made a mistake or wasn't up to date with every little detail in order to derail their comments and elevate your own self-esteem. But it sounds like you were just Chuck Testa'ing, which is cool with me. ^_^

You probably thought the hate was alive

And the annoyance was alive

And the pedantry was alive
