I have been wanting to pick this case up for some time now and I know some of you here have made builds in it so maybe you can answer some questions about it.

I have 2 options for this build with parts that I have laying around and some that I would have to get.

I would either go Air Cooling and use the Dark Rock TF with a stock blower type 780 or go custom loop with the same 780 but with a xspc block that I also have.

IF I would go custom loop then is there enough space to mount a 170 XSPC Photon Res in the front for show? Could I hide the d5 pump at the back?

I know that I would only have 120mm rad space but its enough as its only for a living room pc for my wife. Will be used for casual youtube videos etc. YES - I know... overkill but I just want a excuse to mount a new pc.

What about these 2 options?

So for your air cooling proposal the Dark Rock TF is very big for ITX, whether it would fit or not depends on the motherboard socket placement being absolutely perfect so it can sit between the floor and the GPU. I used a Noctua L12 which is ~15mm narrower and had to pick exactly the right motherboard. The socket position varies wildly on ITX, on a lot of boards it will just be too close to the graphics card and it would never fit. The graphics card will be perfectly happy on air.

Going for a custom loop isn't impossible but using a D5 would be very difficult, it won't fit in the back and the best place would be just infront of the motherboard. The little DDC combo's with more sophisticated PWM pumps work the best, most will fit exactly into the rear or just underneath the graphics card in the front.

These are both relatively un-modified X1.0's, mine just has a different midwall, they both perform well thermally and acoustically. Anything you could wish to do in a true SFF ITX is possible with some careful planning.

Hmm ok, I have both DDC and the D5 pumps so maybe I could give it a go with the DDC combo. All though the Dark Rock TF would look very nice, just scared if it will fit or not.
