Parental PC Build Advice

So, I've been tasked with trying to put together a decent, and what I hope to be a long lasting PC for a friend's parents. As per the sticky on this section of the forums....

• Where are you located? Sydney, Australia
• What is your budget? $500AUD-$700AUD
• Will you need a monitor, keyboard, and/or mouse included in that budget? Not at this stage.
• Shall you be requiring an OS? Yes
• What will you be using this rig for? Non-Gaming Rig. Home Use. Office, Internet, etc etc
• If gaming, what resolution will you be playing at? N/A
• Will you be overclocking? No
• Do you need a full build or will you be reusing some old parts? Full Build

I currently have the following parts scoped out:

Case - BitFenix Merc Alpha Mid Tower Case
PSU - Corsair CS450M Modular 80 Plus Gold
Mobo - ASUS H97M-E Motherboard
CPU - Intel Pentium G3420 Haswell Refresh
RAM - Corsair Vengeance Pro CMY8GX3M2A1600C9 8GB (2x4GB) DDR3
GPU - Integrated Intel HD Graphics
HDD - Seagate ST1000DX001 Desktop SSHD 1TB

I would welcome any advice or better suggestions.

Thanks all :)

Add a SSD and I'd take the G3258 instead. Perhaps something like this:

If you were in the UK, I'd say get one of the £150 Lenovo E50 units from eBuyer.

http://www.ebuyer.com/658956-lenovo-e50-desktop-pc-90bx0018uk

£149.99, free delivery, Pentium J2900, 4db DDR3 ram, 500gb hard drive, even includes a mouse and keyboard.

I've completely given up on building low end PCs for general internet and office type use, when stuff like this is available.

Just do a clean install of Windows 8.1 when you get it, remove any bloat or spyware.

See if there is a similar deal available in any Ozzie PC sites?
