P67 Build selection

I would appreciate if you guys can check my components in terms of compatibility and make any suggestions to my water cooling list. I have spent a considerable amount of time selecting each part that would best suit my build budget (without compromising too much).

I am intending to water cool my CPU only as I will be using the Gainward GTX580 Phantom GPU. I will be putting my water cool loop in a Corsair 650D case so I am not sure if the rad with fans will have enough space?

  • EK Supreme HF Copper Gold edition CPU Block
  • XSPC X2O 750 Dual 5.25” Bay Reservoir Pump
  • PrimoChill PrimoFlex tubing ½” ID ¾” OD
  • 4 x Bitspower G ¼” Matte Black Dual Rotary 45-Degree Compression Fitting
  • 2 x Bitspower Matte Black Ultimate G ¼” Rotary Compression Fitting
  • Black Ice SR1-240 Radiator
  • 2 x Scythe Gentle Typhoon AP-15 120mm
  • Scythe Kaze master Ace 3.5” 2 channel fan controller
  • Gold PrimoChill ICE Non-Conductive Liquid Cooling Fluid

I have opted to buy a 2 channel fan controller since I will only be controlling the two 120mm fans. The other fans on the case will be controlled via the switch that comes with the 650D case.

Thank you

Well looks good to me but I'm working on the first WC build myself!

I actually ended up returning the comp fittings and just using the barbs (10 total). Build is similar except I'm using Clearflex tubing, a DD-1200 pump, EK HF Supreme (Gold Plated) CPU block, EK 580 Block (for my 570...still fits), XSPC 360 Rad, and Dual Res from EK. been rrunning it for about 3 hrs now (leak test)...I'll put up some pics in the morning.

Was there any particular reason as to why you returned the comp fittings?

big fault right there is that phantom, not joking either, get the msi 580 lightning, much better overclocks like a beast. Funny thing is go and try and overclock that phantom, you cant mate.

I can always use an afterburner (not that I will be OC immediately to be honest). Tim mentions it in his review, to be honest I love its aesthetics and also the inbuilt cooling is nice.

I have already purchased the card a while back, its sitting under my bed.

Couldn't justify the expense...although funney thing is a day after I sent them back my parents got me some as a gift. (Told them awhile back about it but figured they forgot). Barbs are just easier to work with. Small prob though...used to big a screw and punched a whole in Rad while mounting in comp...caused a small leak that I was able to clean up...big picture make sure you use only the screws for the RAD and if yhou need more get more...at least thats my noob experience

Thanks for the reply. I just realised the 45 comp fitting is the wrong size

I purchased my components from performance-pc and they will be arriving on Wednesday (the latest) since my motherboard was delayed. The only part that has arrived is my GPU and my case.

I have never used a camera before other than from my mobile phone and have no experience in uploading pics

However I will try giving it a go once all my parts arrive since this is an exceptional circumstance. I guess there is no harm in trying.
