Ok here is the deal. I'm planning to buy a new MBO (P5Q Deluxe), I already have Q6600. Now I wish to know what air cooling I should buy for max overclock capability and to how much can I push it (3.2, 3.6 or what). Thx in advanse. I was thinking on Mugen 2. Is it any good and how much could I get with it.

P.S. I hope this is the whrite section.

Tbh dude its all CPU dependant and what the ambient temp is tbh.

Pretty much all Q6600's should do 3.4 BUT thats a very loose guide tbh.

whats your budget mate :) best air sink is defo the thermalright 120 true black

I'm afraid I don't have that much money. Is it better to take active or passive cooling for a price of about 70 american dolars or 50 euros and which one?

the mugen and 120 are exactly the same price i think  but tbh id trust the 120 over any cooler passive or not, in the future you can always put a 120 fan on with the given fan clips, the reason i like it so much is that ive had a q6600 @ 4ghz on it ;), but ofcourse the chances of reaching 4ghz+ on air is low but i know it can keep a q6600 dead cold

So 120 can work without vents, but it is better with one true?

btw. whick one is better: Artis Silver 5 or Zalman ZM-STG2 paste? And which 120mm vent you recommend?

sorry i really dont understand that sentence one bit :p try using google translate if your english isnt superb

Ok it doesn't metter, so I buy thermalright 120 true black rev C and some 120mm fan and that is it, wright? btw. which termo-paste is better Artic Silver 5 or Zalman ZM-STG2? and can you recommend any silent 120 mm fan?

Silent = not very good at cooling. Buy a Yate Loon fan for best cooling.

AC Silver is pants but MX2 or MX3

defo get a yate loon on the 120 mate!

heres the list of a top end air cooled setup

1x thermalright 120 true black

1x 120mm yate loon 2000+ rpm

1x tube of artic cooling MX-3
