overclocking

now im new in here, and i dont know alot of stuff, but..

is overclocking like fishing?

you throw in your float ( the mhz ) then you gotta wait some time till the fish bites ( prime95 test ), sometimes the line breaks or the fish gets off ( unstabe ) and sometimes u get the fish in ( stable ). After matter of time u add the amount of bread the the float ( more mhz ), and try throwing the float somewhere else in hope of a better catch ( adding volts ), and it starts over again?

well thats what i was just thinking about.. goodnight!

can be read like that.
try a speed/vcore voltage/LLC combination, test it and note temperatures and stability.
note the changes up or down and once a final is reached, save the settings or record
them for future use and move to the next level.
once a high point is reached, is it safe on temp and reliability? if not, reduce to last known
setting with moderate temps and vcore voltage.
