My Q8200 is currently OC'd to 3080MHz(440x9) but would it be possible to push it further up?

If i use any FSB value higher than 450 the system wouldn't even get past the POST

All voltages are set to 'Auto'

you should be able to get more fsb out of that chip but maybe you are pushing the ram too far, also is the 8gb 4x2gb sticks?

i also need to memntion the Q8xxx series of quad core cpus from intel werent that great in ocing also could just also be you have a chip that wont clock that high

its not that the q8000s were bad at ocing, just that it was harder to push them far as they needed much higher fsb than the q9000s with their higher multi.

to get a real high fsb you need a great mobo and fast ram which can match or beat the fsb of the chip.

i would try with only 2 sticks of ram, maybe even test all 4 to see which are the better set and then go from there as it should help you get a little higher.

You're lucky you even got that far mate, mine was never even fully stable at 3Ghz, although stable enough to bench with.
