Hey I was wondering, is it ok or good to overclock a processor or video card in a laptop?

Specifically I mean an Alienware Aurora m7700.

Thanks

not really, generally laptops don't have the capacity to cope with the extra heat. Not so sure about alienware though.

It can definately be done you just need to keep a CLOSE eye on your temps since laptops have the lowest form of cooling possible. Other than that you should be good to go, get yourself Clockgen and enable Coolbits and you can oc to you pass out :p

you like your nutzors extra crispy then:rollingla

hehe jk,let us know how u get on with this:)

cheers.

I would not even try, its an extremely bad idea, if you laptop is that slow your better of getting a new one :rollingla

ok...

"that slow"

maybe it is fast, but i want it faster. Or save a couple hundred dollars and overclock the rest of the way.
