Overclocking My E6600, What kind of OC can I expect?

Hey all

well my gaming machine will be ready tomorow and im deffinately looking at O.C,my current setup is the e6600 cpu, 2 gb corsair RAM 800mhz, Asus Striker motherboard,inno3d 786mb 8800gtx card and a zalman heat sink for the CPU. and Also what programs should i look at running when im O.C to check temperatures etc,thanks.

any Help would be Appreciated.

I would say you should be able to get at least 3.3Ghz.

And programs.. mmm Speed fan? Core Temp?

Oh, Orthos is a must have for testing.

Depends on your chip, you won't know until you start but 3.3 is common... Better cooling yeilds better results...

I've hit 3.6ghz on air with temps hitting about 65 degrees but didn't like that so sitting down at 3.5ghz at about 56 / 57 degrees orthos stress testing now the thermal paste has had time to cure.
