I am struggling getting anymore from my gfx card
I have the MSI R7 370 2G gaming currently running +12% on core and +7% on memory. at a rather nice 55c full load with a CPU stress running to ensure plenty heat was being created in the case.

In afterburner despite having all the relevant options selected in setting I am unable to use the core voltage slider.

I was hoping to get the the core to 1200 or even 1250.

Some cards dont have the option for voltage enabled in the GPU bios.

Its risky to mess around flashing with but can be done. Problem is now that there are far too many non reference cards out there

pretty much this.

Give Sapphire Trixx a try as sometime on AMD cards you can get a little bit more voltage options.

I remember my old XFX HD 7950 has a locked bios but Trixx was able to get me +100mV

some amd cards really dont like letting you adjust the voltages. and even with a bios edit the hd 7xxx cards were pretty bad for this, and i had a couple of sapphires 7870 and a 7850 and no amount of bios edits would give me voltage control.
I think its something to do with amd's power engagement system. Having said that a few 7xxx cards worked with bios editing so could have just been a few vendors that made it impossible.

But good luck with it.
