Overclocking Issue with 2 Gigabyte Z97MX Board

I am running into a problem trying to overclock my Pentium g3258. I am coming from a Asus Z97i-Plus mobo with same CPU, Oc'ed to 4.4Ghz. There is nothing wrong with the Asus mobo, I just wanted to fill in my PC case since the ITX size was pretty small for my case (Corsair Air 240). I brought a open boxed Gigabyte Z97MX, the first one felt weird, the VRM and Chipset heatsinks felt "loose", like i could lift it off if i wanted to. At stock speed, runs fine but the moment I try to OC it, hard crashes all over the place. AND I mean any bit of OC, even from 3.2 to 3.4Ghz, it locks up. So I returned that mobo and got it replaced with a brand new board, same model.

Before I put the Pentium into the Gigabyte, I ran it on my Asus board, runs perfect, I even OC'ed it to 4.0Ghz and no problem. This was to make sure my CPU was still good, it was so in it went into the new Gigabyte board. SAME PROBLEM!! I cant OC it at all without it locking up or crashing (Even from 3.2 to 3.4 like I tried with the first board). BIOS for the board is at the latest, which is a Broadwell supported BIOS.

Any troubleshooting/tips or is my luck with this board just crappy?
