Overclocking i5 760

Hello

I'm currently thinking on overclocking my i5 760. I'm aiming at 3,6-3,8GHz.

I'm having an Asus P7P55D-E LX, the H80 cpu cooler, (using the Noctua NF-F12 PWN), and Vengeance 1600MHz CL8 (i want to overclock this at a later time) My PSU is Chieftec Nitro Series BPS-650C (650W). I'll maybe Overclock my GPU too, (Zotac GTX460, refferance, might buy the Accelero Xtreme PLUS II)

If nessesary i can post my temps when i get home.

If there is anyting i've forgot, plz let me know.

What Volt should i run?

What Multiplier should i run?

Aiming for Clock at 3,6 - 3,8GHz

Thanks for any answers.

you could go near 4000.0MHz

at 1.25 (higher slightly if unstable).

20 multiplier

For 3800MHz:

19 multiplier

200 bclk

voltage around 1.2(slightly higher if unstable)

Hope this helps.

I had to stop at 3800MHz.

Got BSOD on 4000MHz

I think it's the RAM that does that, any recommendations there?

EDIT: I'm not sure, but it looks like my RAM de-Clocked itself: RAM Speed : 602 MHz (2:6) @ 8-9-9-22

EDIT2: Got a BSOD, took the Voltage up to 1,25V (I feel like a noob)

at 4.0 you might ened a higher voltage then 1.25V to be stable.

myself i tried 1.25 it worked for an hour or so then got BSOD.

Instead of 1.25V increase it to 1.3V if required.

don't go much past 4.0GHz. (i wouldn't try this unless you know 100% what your doing)

also make sure it sits under 70degreese celcius, under high stress(Prime 95 for an hour at minimum)

Done.

Gonna run Prime95 when I go to school. Let's hope for no freeze or BSOD

EDIT: Got a BSOD right after writing this post, gonna stick to 3,8GHz. Thanks for all help!

EDIT2: after 30 sec of Prime on 3,8GHz I got a BSOD, the voltage is a tad higher than 1,25V for stability, anyone knows what the problem could be?
