Hi guys n girls,

I have been trying to overclock my 690 using afterburner 2.3.0

The Best 3dmark11 score i have got is 17653

Power = +135%
GPU = +125
Mem = +555

now if i go any higher i can't seem to get a better score

i tryed this, but get a score of 17509:

Power = +135%
GPU = +140
Mem = +645

Compare scores below
Code:

any ideas as its getting a bit annoying... :):(

If you could make a screenshot like this and also add afterburner it would be very helpful.

The "PT" score indicates you`re running cpu at stock,and temps show no headroom for further oc capability in that department.I would say your score is pretty good for a gtx690.Any suggestions i have will only raise cpu temps.
You have found the sweet-spot on your gtx690 :)

I can only suggest then,that you read some oc stuff on the 2011 platform and manually setup your system.At 1.35v you should/could run 4.4-4.6ghz.I`m pretty sure your 3dm11 will improve when done so.

Thanks kilo,

I did that and i got 4.5GHz @ 1.385v set in the bios below is what i did in more depth:

in Tom's last video on the 3D 7950, he was pointing to 3D Mark Vantage as getting
a GPU a through workout and scoring.. 3D Mark 11 score is great.. have you thought
to try the Vantage scoring?

Thanks will try that what are acceptable temps for a 3930k on a h100 im getting 76C-81C when folding?

"acceptable" is so-broad of a term.. most consider 80° redline. on your H100
is that on peformance or 12volt fans? proper watercooling usually looks to 60°
or less. the all-in-ones (AIO) can't really deliver strong low temperatures, but to
tide over for bonzai runs and limited high clocks they have a small place. 80° on
folding doen't leave alot of ambient headroom in case of fan malfunction or
unattended use.
for a test, disable a fan and look for what the temps might do.
i'd look for 75° for folding, in case of issues.

Yeah,you need some proper wc-kit with at least 360x45 rad or thicker.Temps will drop to more acceptable temps when folding,and youll have a lot more voltage to play with.

Agreed. If you have space - get something like an RX360 kit from specialtech or an equivalent to it. You will not regret it!

If you can squeeze in a second rad, you might also get away with running the 690 in there too, but I wouldn't risk it on a single 360. Not with a hex core chip.

To be honest however, long ago I had an EK 240x45 based kit. That performed much better than the latest and greatest in pre-sealed kits, so even if it doesn't land you in sub 60 land - it is still an improvement.

I'm throwing this out there as an option, should you later wish to change the radiator to something more acceptable. This will however just add cost to the build, so you're best off getting the bigger rad to start with.

Alternatively - scout out all the parts, watch/read reviews and tailor it to your preference. That's always the best way, and if you do it first time - it'll save you a few quid in the process as well :D
