Overclocking / Gaming stuff auctions site.(ocbay.net)

Hi guys,

The last months i was working on an auction site in which the main idea is about the overclocking/gaming. I dont know about you but for me even if i am and an addicted ebay user sometimes i find it extremely difficult to spot the correct hardware for my needs. And when i say needs i mean for example, pretested cpu, or a cheap pot or a pair of good old vgas.... you know things like that.

So I made ocbay.net. I want to say that the site is 100% free and there is no hidden fees at all.

Please take a look and share with me your ideas (categories, buttons etc)

What do yo think? Will it work? :waiting:

Cheers

chris

Ps.If the overclock3d crew wants ,send me a banner to put it there for free ;)

Coded something similar myself, I see your using PHPproBid, great piece of script/software.

Nice idea, mine was just for fun, so hopefully this is a success for you mate.

Good luck.

Hello mate, if you can add me to MSN or XFIRE, we can talk business if needed :).

I have some experience in this sector, and we could make a good team if you want to join up. I have some web space also, with enough bandwidth for now.

Just add me matey.

xfire: physicalfire

msn: haxing (at) live.co.uk

mate you should take the links out of your email, otherwise you'll get spammed by trawlers

like this: haxing [at] live.co.uk

:D, don't worry that's my junk account anyway, I have around 1000emails per day, I used to do click 4 money, sent a lot of emails to me :D.

thanks guys for your kind words.

@Youngie1337 I will appreciate if you share the knowledge in case of issue.

So any ideas? Something that needs change?

Nice site mate if a little too " busy "

Tended to have to really focus on areas of the page.

Was gonna register but noticed its not https and no padlock when having to enter a lot of personal details.... can that be fixed?

Excellent though and good idea.

Wish you good success.

Indeed that can be fixed :D, also you're pretty much limited to pre-made auction sites customization.

Change currency from euro

Remove ending soon auctions

Change colour/theme to blue or something more professional.

I'll probably join when the site is out of most/all problems or anything like that.

Don't wanna lose the details.

Also added overclock3d.net in rotating banner.

Thanks again guys :wavey:

You can change settings within your admin page.

http://ocbay.net/admin/login.php

You should change the sites currency to GBP if you haven't already, I'm certain it's there.

Change the currency/language options by limiting to say EU/USA only, since the chances of you selling to Africa/Jamaica and somewhere in the middle of the ocean is unlikely to say the least.

Just a thought :).

@lasher , zak4994

Thanks guys for pushing me to that direction.

Https is done. (Registration,Listing,Login)

Really? I checked it and it works for me. I've notice a few issues with google chrome but nothing to do with pics. Strange... If you click "View full size images" whats happening?
