i was not sure where i should post this so if its in the wrong place im sorry in advance
well so far this winter i have spent some time redoing the house, decorating etc and i have now managed to get a free room at the front of the house downstairs that id like to setup as a home office but also use it for some pc gaming after the work is done.
the room is 2.8 meters long by 2.2 meters and as im going to be gutting the room and running network cables into there i was looking for ideas as to thing to add or at least to plan for at a later date as i dont want to be tearing the room apart again for the next few years at least. being a fairly small room which needs to have room to seat two people at least and house two computers.
so far im planning to add cabling for - 2 cables for 2 computers (cat 6a or 7 lines each for 10 gigabit Ethernet) - 2 cables for 2 Network printers (standard gigabit) - 1 cable for HDMI extension - 1 cable for USB extension (from the CCTV system so it can be located in the server cabinet in garage with rest of network stuff) - 1 cable for HDMI extension of CCTV.
so far the electrical products i am putting in the room are: -
1: - of course the pcs, my old sandybridge 2500k as a second pc and finally build a new one as a main pc/gaming -
2: - Brother A3 MFC-5895CW multi function Inkjet printer
3: - Brother A4 HL-L5100DN Mono Laser printer
4: - Sony Bravia KDL32WD754BU 32" smart tv for watching tv and viewing CCTV
i would add some sketchup screen shots of the space and layout ideas i have but ive not looked into anywhere you can host images since photobucket went paid only. if someone can point me on the right direction ill get some screen shots uploaded
at the moment i could use some help with audio for both pcs, there will be times when there is only one person in the room so being able to listen to music or plat games with out using headphones would be nice, i had been thinking about using a home amp and speaker setup (easier to hide the cabling with this option i guess) but not sure if id be better off with one made for a pc. im not looking to run a sub just want two speakers for back ground music when there is nothing on tv.
