Hi ,
Firstly apologies if there has been a thread created for this already .
If anyone can please help me fine tune my settings to give me some advice on overclocking their 5820k that would be appreciated
I just want to get a good base line and read what your personal expriences have been .
I have not dived to much into overclocking the Haswell-E processors its been a while my last cpu was a 3570k
My set up
Motherboard - MSI X99 Krait
RAM - Kingston DDR4 2666mhz 1.2v
Testing Methods - AIDA64 / Intel Extreme Tuning Utility ( 2-3 hours )
CPU Cooling - Corsair H110 GT 280MM
I currently am testing with lowest possible cpu fan / pump speeds aswell as case fans on the lowest settings
I am doing this as if i can get a good overclock with "quiet " settings i know when i decide to open the top vent of my case for more airflow ( Corsair 760 T ) and turn up the cpu fans i will receive ample amount of cooling at a decent sound level
I currently am running :
- Disable Intel Turbo Boost
- CPU Multiplier x40 , 4ghz
- CPU Core voltage 1.090v
- XMP enabled
Max temperature after a few hours of testing was 65 c
Very much appreciate any insights as i feel like im running pretty basic settings and can benefit from some really fine tuning
