At 4.5GHz the 4770k will get about 9.8.

I wouldn't delid mate, no point losing your warranty and potentially breaking the cpu. Those things just run stupid hot and there isn't much you can do about it. Just be happy with what you've got :)

What can you get with 1.2V max, that's the sort of voltage I would put through it to keep the temps down :)

Not fine tuned the bios yet but at 1.2V max and some tuning I'll be looking at 4.5GHz maybe 4.6GHz. When I think back, I struggled getting my 2500k stable at 4.2 the day I bought it, managed 4.6 not long after then ran daily at 4.8 for about 9 months and benched at 5.1GHz. Always room for improvement ;)
