Overclock me!

right now speedfan is saying temp1 is 40 temp2 (CPU) 47 and temp3 127 but it said that from the beggining so i assume thats a mistake? i think while i was playing css the cpu temp hit 55, xms said my limit was 60 so hopefully thats all gravy

okay when im playing css the cpu temp is at 59oC is that healthy? should i push it any further?

I think stop there (59°C is fine, but you don't wanna be too much higher).

Maybe its time to think about new cooling if you wanna get higher?? :)

yea i bought my case (thermaltake armour) because i intended to buy the asetek water cooling kit, the triple rad one but i know ur going to tell me that pre-made kits are rubbish lol. would the next step be water cooling ?

yes premade kits are generally rubish (but not all)

try good air cooling first, as good air cooling is better than crap water cooling. like i said an xp120 or xp90c

Yeah, 59 is pushing it. You aint gonna do any damage as the chips are designed to go well up into the 80's without dying - however - p4's have thermal throttling which kicks in at something like 65, so you wanna stay lower than that for sure.

Good air cooling (xp-90c + Tornado Fan) will kick the crap out of almost all pre-made water cooling kits, and will generally be quite a bit cheaper too.

hey xms this is the link to the piccys http://www.motherboards.org/reviews/hardware/1512_2.html

basically i think u can get 2 cd drives in ther aswell i only need one tbh :)

Cool looks good. Pics are a bit hard to make out tho, and i can't work out where they will be putting the hard disk drives (because on the stacker, the hard disk tray takes up 3 drive bays).

Also, don't go with that w/c system they put in there. get something like this:

XSPC 120mm Tripple rad (Cheaper than BIX and same performance)

1/2" Tubing (not that pencil dick stuff that the kits come with)

Danger Den D5 Pump

Swiftec Storm water block

Zerex Coolant

YS-Tec 125cfm fans

^ Thats pwnage right there :D

P.S: Good CSS game earlier :D

okay im guna price that up now cheers! :D . what u think of that asetek pump with the built in resevoir with all the software monitoring?

If you mean the L30, its a good pump, but its 240v, so remember you'll have an extra thing to plug into the mains.

There are very good 12v pumps about that will piss over the performance of the L30, but they do cost a bit more - around £50ish.
