So iv had some cpu overcklocking experience on amd side. but after upgrading to this one iv had some problems overcklocking it. from what i read it should be quite easy to obtain 4Ghz-4.5Ghz on water.
Problem is that i cant seem to get it stable on 4Ghz or up no matter what i do. i have tried difrent setting and tried leaving the memory at stock. so some advices would be nice
and i have refitted the cpu block and added silver based thermal paste. and still idle cpu is around 50c wich is kinda high for watercooling. help please.
PC specs :
Mobo: gigabyte G1 assasin 1366 socket
Psu : thermaltake smart 850w +80bronze
Cpu: i 7 965XE atm 3.8ghz
GPU : asus 7970 reference
120Gb agility 3 ssd and 1tb storage drive.
cooling 120 +360 rads with pull
Ek-supremacy cpu block and ek Gpu block.
Alphacool VPP655 as the pump 1.5k L/H
