Hey guys, Here i am trying to Overclock my old E6850. Stock settings are 9x333 @ 1.35v My ram is OCZ Platinum 2x2gb (4gb) 800mhz T6-5-5-15 with a factory voltage range of 2.1v-2.2v. I'm using An ASUS P5k Deluxe MB with bios r1005 I have tested each increase in FSB for 2 hours, everything is fine until I reach 9x420 3.8ghz, Prime95 will run for about 1hr and 50 min then core0 stops test due to hardware failure. Ive tried voltage increase to CPU, pll, NB, and Ram. still i cant pass 3.8, I am able to boot to windows at 4.1ghz but its obviously not stable. my last stable clock was 3.7. My temps are ok, Never went above 55 degrees. I followed a couple of guides to get to this point, any help will be appreciated..... I have bios pics to upload but my 500k quota is filled,

i would try the cpu clock skew.

maybe more pll.

and i would turn llc on too, this will let you drop the core and term volts a litle bit for now.

i don't think that you have ocz platinum ddr2 800 t6-5-5-15, i think that you have 5-5-5-15 or 4-5-4-xx or 4-4-4-12. the first thing you shoul do is set the timing to 6-6-5-18, and after that go whit the pll to 1.56 and fsb to 1.44, see how that is going

What cooling are you using?
