Opinions needed MIPS waterblocks

SEBAR

I have my eye on a set of MIPS ASUS Maximus 4 Gene-Z Set Nickel POM Limited Edition Southbridge and MOSFET water blocks. Has anyone had any experience with these? It looks like I will lose my 2nd PCI slots with the southbridge block, will it also interfere with the 1st slot?

Personally, I've never used one of MIPS waterblocks but I've heard great things about them on various forums. I'd say go for it if you haven't already made a decision.

Thanks for the reply. I have decided not to get these blocks because they would definitely interfere with the first PCI slot and possibly the second slot as well.

I cant see DocMIPS letting that slide SEBAR,have you tried pulled images from google with it fitted?
MIPS are pretty much the benchmark for water blocks in terms of quality and ability.

Yes, that is how I determined that it would not work for me. The top pcie slot is would be blocked and the 2nd pcie slot could be an issue depending on the fitting size.

I would Email MIPS directly to find out, seems bizarre to block slots like that

I guess that if you had a single slot graphics card then I may fit. From some pictures I have seen the fittings come up between the two pcie slots.

The MIPS web site should have pictures of the product installed onto a motherboard to give the customer an example...

This is the best picture I could find.
