oooh...1/2 way there

Yawn... England has never interested me, imo people who support England alot are the people who dont have a good club of their own to support.

I dont know who I am to talk mind, I support Newcastle :D

No it's because we're English and proud of our country

imo people with an attitude like that need to get some national pride

I have to say I hate England...not the football team but the country. It's not until you look around at some of the other countries and how their governments look after local business and keep people in line that you realise what a crap country this is.

Post hate mail to: .....

Most countries suck if you live there...just the way of life.

Its still not a reason to not support your country and place of birth imo

3-0 - good goal by Rio :)

They did play well. But what annoys me in football is the fans that cause trouble. I mean boo'ing whilst the other teams national anthem is on. I know its not the english as a whole who do this, as in rugby its fine, its just football.

I think the commentators can sometimes get ahead of themselves on saying how good england are.

But......We won, which is all good!! (makes a change)

I think the commentators sometimes are overley pessimistic tbh

OK some are OT but I really hate John Motson

And I agree: Football hooligans are total idiots

thats the most ridiculous thing ive ever heard lol

i personally couldnt think of a more pointless sport than foot ball (well i could but still) a load of over paid males running round for 90 mins chasing a small ball kicking it into 2 different nets and its meant to be our national sport!!!! what the hell!

but then again i have allways hated all sport except motor sport.

*sigh*, whatever happened to national pride.

and hyper, what do you mean "a good enough club of their own to support"? do you mean achievement wise?

I support Saints (since 5yrs old) and they're an awesome club to support with great supporters, even if we are temporarily in the Championship

I don't like, and even boardline hate football. I am proberly one of the least patriotic people i know. However i can't help but feel compelled to watch major England games (No clue why lol).

But each to his own :)

I think people have took what I said the wrong way.

What I meant was, people who live in areas where a big club isnt present for them to watch enjoy going to / watching england games more than the average football fan imo because the team they are watching they can truely say they support.

If that makes sense, anyway its just my opinion so dont start a flame war :)

Big sporting day tomorrow if you're English.....

vs South Africa (Rugby Union World Cup)

vs Germany (Women's Football World Cup)

vs Australia (Twenty 20 Cricket World Cup)

TOG

I thought England played really well last night, heskey and barry have been awsome and i hope they hold there place for the next matches, i think the booing just adds to the atmosphere, dont think anythings meant by it just a bit off rilvary that is needed in big games like last night, and helps make Wembly a more formidable place, so it can become the "fortress" everyones wants it to be.

And about supporting England, i support England at any sport from football the badminton, just makes sense to support the country your from?
