Only 34% of PC gamers game at 1080p

STOP Right there!, none of that stuff happens on OC3D, we stand for gaming equality not fan boy-isms.

Exactly :) you would never see something like this on OC3D

sorry I just couldn't resist seriously I tried ^_^

On a more serious note console gaming is probably more popular than pc gaming tbh :)

Most ps4 games are 1080p....... All this pc master race stuff is fanboy childishness.

With frame rate at 30 which is horrible don't matter which way someone spins it, I'd rather have 900P and 60FPS than 1080P and 30FPS, Not fanboying just my personal taste.

Exactly although sometimes the facts do need to be put straight and while I like consoles I'm oh so tired of hearing console only owners thinking their purchase has the ability to match a £1000 PC, The complete lack of common sense and education on that front really annoys me.

You might want to let the hundred million + PC gamers know that statistic ;)

According to Valve there are 125 million active Steam users, Take 50% off for bots and fake accounts and you still have 62,500,00 active users.

How many of that 100 million+ own a console as well?

Well there were 25 million PS4's sold and 10 million XB1's so it's anyone's guess.

PC gaming as a whole is more popular you just have to look at it with common sense but console gaming is easier for people to just plug in and go.

I agree with you there a lot play consoles purely for that reason my nephew for example is a prime one for having an Xbox 360 and Xbone plus the gaming PC I built him (he get's my "hand me downs") but he plays on his console more than his pc because he finds it easier to game with his friends

I, currently, see no point in upping my resolution. I will stay a long time on 1080p, the next monitor upgrade will only be size not res. Going from 21.5" to 27"

Mobile gameing is actually the most popular 99% of us own one and everyone who owns one has had a go at a game of some sort on it, cant run crysis on it tho >_<

1080P at 27" is pretty horrible dude as you can clearly make out pixels at that size, Just go for a nice 27" 1440P IPS :)

This is the reason I don't like playing on 1080P TV's as the pixels are huge.

I know how it looks mate, I'm not bothered by it.

I will use the monitors from about half a meter distance when on my desk or 3 meters when on my couch. with my 21" monitors I have to sit way closer and I find that super disturbing.

I have a 27" 1080p monitor and can't see the pixels looks great to me

That is the point! Everyone has their own taste.

For me I would not want a 1080P display beyond 23" My OCD or attention to detail would be bothered if the monitor looks grainy. That is exactly the issue I have when my kids use the 55 inch 1080P TV in the living room with the Mac Mini I setup for them. I walk by the screen and my head says "That looks like crap" compared to what I look at on the 2 x 27 inch 1440p monitors I have.

I admit, 1440P frustrated me when I only had an ASUS GTX 760 Striker to drive it. Now with a 980 I am very happy.

I just can't stand 1080P, To me it looks like dog turd.

I did have a 1080P monitor in work until I talked the boss into upgrading all the monitors to 1440P's ^_^

We only had a few to buy as most of the PT's have their own mini offices :)

Everyone was like "Wow, It's so much clearer" :D

I have a Asus pa328Q at work hooked to a Lenovo a730
32" 4k and 27" 1080p, I notice the difference but I always thought that the 1080p screen is much better than what I have at home.

I have yet to have a single computer that has a 1080p display, my main rig has 1280x1024 19" and my new laptop has the standard 1366x768(I was planning to get a gaming box, but there has been nothing that has tickled my fancy recently)

another issue with the steam hardware survey is that every person who has an AMD module based processor is surveyed as having half the cores it truly has - though at least it counts threads
