Only 34% of PC gamers game at 1080p

1920x1200 for me, won't go higher or lower. My second screen is a 21" 4:3 ye olde format as I can't fit another 16:9 wide panel on my desk. 1600x1200 pairs up perfectly with 1920x1200 so the mouse transitions between screens seamlessly. Can't get anything bigger or higher resolution with a 4:3 aspect ratio now.

I'm still using a 22" 1680x1050 monitor, and I'd really like something bigger with at least a resolution of 1920x1200 (digging the 16:10 ratio ;)), but I don't even have a mech keyboard yet :( Priorities, priorities...

Interesting read, I was a lowly 19" 1440x900 peasant (poor monitor choice), but since getting the 24" 1920x1080 I'm hooked and won't be moving anytime soon, admittedly gaming is not my first priority it's more for production work. But still 1080 is a comfortable resolution for gaming.

I went from 720p laptops and a 1280x1024 monitor several months back, and truth be told, I had to buy the 1080p used.

I'm saving for good video cards, and later want some nice 1440p monitors, but hey, not everyone is rich, and people have to both save their pennies and watch for sales, or good reals on used stuff.

Most people have to make a choice between a new TV, or better clothes for the kids when they go to school. Also, just because more people have tech now than they did twenty years ago doesn't mean squat. 70% of the people out there with tech items are pretty much idiots about what is good or bad, and 70% of them probably could care less.

Face it, man, we be the geeks!

I went from 1024x768 (square) monitor to a new PC with samsungs 22'' 1920x1080p monitor about 9 months ago? Unsure.
And i gotta say the difference was tremendous, no more squary look, a nice panel, vibrant colours that are true eye catchers, if i stayed at 1024x768 i wouldnt miss my PC at all, but darn, 1080p is just pure awesomness

After having been at 1440P and 4K for the last 2 years I could never go back to 1080P unless it was in a 3 way setup.
