everybody needs to respect their elders, but they also need to earn my respect first.

Trust me, at 15 you do know what mature means, and some people can act it. And in a couple of years you will meet somebody who is your age now, and you will automatically expect their respect because you think they are inferior.

This lad may have been a little brat, but you need to stop judging people by their age. I bet i know 15 year olds who are more mature than you.

I picked 'closed minded' out that lot. Thats the biggest problem imo, there was tones of people (girls mostly) in my old school. They seemed to live in a little bubble where the rest of the world was obscured from view. The theyd call you things like naive and closed minded, probably simply because they thought it made them sound clever.

Your the only one whos gotten close to what i was talking about. Shes my ex, and i know her. Shes a 15 y/o typical teenage girl who is so blinded to what shes doing and wants to call everybody immature for telling her the truth including her 2 best friends. I was just generalizing "15" so i wouldnt have to come out and say it. Im almost 19 and im not the most mature person either but i can be when the time needs it. But seriously, id say blocking people and unblocking them becasue your in an argument with them has to be one of THE most immature things ever. But yea, didnt expect such response to this lol. I say again, "15" was a generalization.

As other people have said, it all depends on the person, don't forget 100 years ago that girl would be married, so it isn't an age thing. I think our society tolerates immaturity far too much. I think in many cases people who have hard lives are more mature, but one again no guarantees, I know a girl who is 16, her parents are divorced, but she is very immature.

In some case (e.g MOI) maturity came too early.

It some ways it is a good thing seeing as I can finally really get to know adults, like my dad!

But I have hardly any friends at my age. Most are much older than me.

I just don't get on with people who sit there saying how much life sucks and that school sucks and I hate my parents.. It is just stoopid!

Another thing I can't stand, which happens to be a thing which is "cool".. is smoking and drinking excessively. I agree drink can be very social and good fun. But at the age of 14 it is just sick.

The other night I had to help a 14 year old girl out of a ditch. Come on people this is sick.
