normally its a great place to live but until today which we finally made it to like 65F its been colder than hell here lately it sucks cause I work outdoors we normally see below freezing like 5-6 times a winter but never in a row. Norm its like 30-32 one day 60's the next few weeks then maybe 30-32 again. This year we had like 2 -3 weeks straight of 24-36f temps with an occasional bump to 45 man I live in Texas cause I hate the freaking cold lol not to mention the farking rain and sleet that accompanied the cold
back to topic lol maybe one day I'll find a board that will run this card so i can see if it works.
edit shit just remember I have an old PII board that runs Rambus ram that should work for this card if I have time tomorrow I'll dig it out and fire it up.
Got an old voodoo 2 lying around in a box somewhere. Also got a MX 200 I think it was called and a Geforce 2 Ultra and all work fine.
Took my old 4870 for a spin with some DICE the other day and comfortably got 950MHz on the core. Just needs some volt mods now and some LN2 then 1GHz+ will be a piece of cake
I had and still have my old Geforce 440MX which I won just walking into GAME one day for being the 5000th to enter the store that month.
I shudder to think who was counting.
edit* I forgot i wasted money on that disasterous Voodoo Banshee.. My god I never saw such errors in my life. Games had to have additional patches just to fix my banshee card.
first gpu i bought was an XFX 9400GT.
the first gpu a technician bought for me was a Gainward 5500 (still have the receipt for this, IIRC its from 2006.
Oldest gpu I own is a geforce 2, I know I have it, I just cant find it
My oldest gpu i have tucked well away somewhere is a X850XT IceQ II Turbo, last time i tried to get it working, nada. I don't have any pics, or a camera... so a stock photo will have to do (god i hope i post it right)
Oh also this card i had (still) when i bought Bioshock when it released, however it had shader model 2.0 b, instead of 3.0. Some great people 'hacked' the coding as best they could&made it playable, compared to a black screen.
