Was rooting through my PC spares box and stumbled across some of my old GPU's.
One of which was a shock, mainly because of its i/o
My Gainward 9600gt 1gb

Never seen a gpu with a built in spidf jack, even though this card is easily 5 years old it still had a full sized Display Port and HDMI

It was a PowerColor HD 4870 512MB, and surprisingly was a great card for me, shame I saw smoke coming from it :)

I'm going to start a collection and somehow frame all the bits that become dead and have no way of RMA'ing them....

You lucky git ^_^

I got to play with an 8800 Ultra last year, Obviously not much now compared to today's GPU's but it felt like a piece of history :)

I paid about £900 for the pair back in the day, both dead now and one is stripped down to the PCB. I'll dig it out and take a nekkid pic of it.

Here are some pics of the nekkid 8800 ultra

Dates back to around 1994. (came from my 386sx 25 system) It even lives in it's original anti static bag and box.

Those Radeon 4870's were great, they came out of nowhere and forced Nvidia to really drops prices of the GTX 200 series, I think they dropped the price of the GTX 280 by something like 50% in response. ^_^

I had the Sapphire HD 4870, it was probably the card I got the most use out of. I had it for nearly 4 years, sadly it gave me artifacts one day while playing Skyrim on it, shortly after I got no video at all from it. :(

As for the thread, I've got one of these in a really old rig, namely an XFX Geforce 6200 AGP, which is still alive and kicking. Needless to say, this was well before XFX went AMD only. ^_^

Don't have the card anymore and can't remember the exact model so no pictures but I do know it was made by Trident and it had 512kb of ram which was lame even back then in 1994.

After going through some old boxes managed to find it, Trident TVGA9000i -2 (pic is from internet, all I have a crappy phone camera)

Also found this. A bit younger, only 15 years old but what a beast :)
Voodoo 3 2000 PCI. Still have the original box.
