As the title says, I've gone and gotten ahold of a Ryzen 5 1600x, 16gb of ram and an Asus Prime B350M-A motherboard.
Now if I'm reading all of this information correctly (remember I'm a TOTAL newbie so please treat me as though I'm a complete idiot - which basically, when it comes to this stuff I am!) my ram is running at 3200 ghz, the processor speed says (via the BIOS) that its running at 3.9 ghz although cpu-z says its running at 2194.... and under task manager on windows 10 (I know, I know) the speed never goes above 2 ghz...
I can't for the life of me get the thing to overclock.. I've watched youtube videos and followed the instructions as best I can - all to no avail! :cry2:
I managed to reset the BIOS back to default although that was a task in itself.. Yes, I really am that clueless.. So please help me sort this thing out - All I'd like is to get it to a point where its stable enough at 4 ghz or faster.
Thank you for reading this far, assuming you have and to those that offer advice, thank you in advance, although I will be sure to thank you again in a subsequent post!
edit:
Oh, before I forget, I've been watching people's videos using cinebench and they are scoring anywhere from 1500 to 1700 and for some reason I'm getting no higher than 753.. what gives?
