[OFFICIAL] OC3D Overclockers Club

Sig lookin' sexy as ever xDDD

Just thought I'd mention, 28.75% OC on my lil' athlon x3 (4.120Ghz up from 3.2Ghz), and a 22.58% OC on my HD6850 (950Mhz up from 775Mhz) ... And those are just the stable OCs ;)
Am I worthy..? :P

/Edit : Also managed a 4% refresh rate OC on my monitor once :PPPP

i'll soon be watercooling my 1090t and hd 7950. i expect to see overclocks worthy of the club soon enough.

So MSI posted this on their facebook:

Black And Yellow :D
I also like how the meant for OC'ing are the sexiest. (IMO)
What are your opinions on this? Which of these motherboards do you guys like most?
Looking forward to hear :)
Cheers!

Imho, the dragon heatsinks are a bit childish...

I like the blue one for its 'simple' looks and I love the MPower board for its black sexiness :D

1200th post!
Anyway, I agree :D
I think the MPower looks the best!
Still wondering when MSI is releasing their X79 MPower :p
They showed it a while ago

Considering there isn't really any performance difference between the mPower, GD65 or GD65 gaming, I think this is purely done for marketing purposes.

Seems a bit of a random thing to do this late in Z77s life, as we're expecting Haswell and the next gen chipsets to be announced officially anytime now.

Of the three boards I think it would purely be a matter of personal tastes and whether or not the color scheme and flow of the board suits your specific needs. I PERSONALLY would want to go with the Black/Blue board or the Black/Yellow, depending on the chassis I had to put the parts in.

^^ agreed. Also JamesRiley makes a valid point, though I hope there will be a Z87 MPower :D
Keep in mind the the heatsink plates on the MPower can be easily removed and according to MSIAlex on another forum, it doesn't void warranty.

I'm sure there will be an mPower - maybe called something different, but if they've put out this marketing thing now, I'd imagine it's going to be an ongoing theme MSI go for in the future.
The question is whether MSI will bring out all three at the point of release, or whether we'll be waiting 6+ months again for an mPower board to come out.

It was a good couple of months after Ivy's release before any performance boards at all were really released. The Maximus V Formula/Extreme came out 3/4 months after launch, Gigabyte's offerings weren't worth the money, so all we had left were the P8 series from Asus and the now named 'classic' boards from MSI.

It was a bit annoying for me considering I wanted to build a high performance system, but kept putting it off waiting for one of these boards.

I'm hoping the same doesn't happen with Haswell - not that I'll be buying it any way unless there's a huge leap in performance.

Imho, the dragon heatsinks are a bit childish..

Meh, I think the dragon one looks cool :p. It would be awesome IMO if they came out with an AMD board with that design (dragon was a code name for the "family" of the 700 chipset series, the Phenom II x4 CPUs, and the HD 4000 series GPUs). That, with the (oldy but goody) HAF 932 AMD edition case (or the regular one, whatever) and a full WC setup would be pretty sweet.

Really the one thing I would like to see is for MSI to do this sort of thing with the AMD platform as well. Just because their architecture doesn't compete with Intel in the extreme end of the segment (i.e.: socket 2011) doesn't mean that their hardware users don't still enjoy gaming-oriented rigs or overclocking for the sake of benchmarks or record-setting. MSI makes a good product, and I would much rather see more variety for the AM3+ socket moving forward from this company. I rather like their 970 board they made, even did a review on it in the user review section, just would like to see a color scheme other than black/brown and blue.

Can Tinytomlogan Build an Asus Z9PE-WS Dual Zeon MOBO on an Corsair 600t, Somebody toldme that all you have to do is Add three standoffs to the right. Can Somebody answer me if it true?http://forum.overclock3d.net/images.../forum.overclock3d.net/images/smilies/huh.png

Link is broken :-(.

The biggest board you can comfortably house in this chassis is an E-ATX board. However if the motherboard tray (I haven't measured my 600T tray or I could tell you) has at LEAST 16.1-16.5 inches of room to work with then you technically can fit a dual xeon board in there, though I suspect it would be a bit tight.
