OCZ ZT 650watt?

I need to get a new PSU the XFX unit I was going too buy has sold out everywhere so looking for an alternative I cam across the OCZ ZT 650watt for LESS that what I was going too pay for the XFX one.
I know its got enough power for my system checked this out before I even found out I needed a new PSU
Are the OCZ PSU's any good though?

Never cut back on PSU - as above look at Corsair RM's

i would advise to stay away from RM series from corsair and get seasonic G instead or super flower golden green. with that fan profile and the worse caps they could have use-capXon rated at 85C only. those you find in corsair CX. I'd recommend this although be prepared to explain to people its not a crap PSU brand:
SuperFlower Golden Green 650w gold
Also, don't buy from a company that recently went bust and won't be making PSUs anymore (OCZ, Toshiba just want the ssd stuff). No one should be recommending them. XFX PSUs are great, the only good things that come from XFX. Superflower are one of my personal faves, especially now you don't have to get them imported anymore ^_^. Seasonic are probably one if not the best for powersupplies.

I have been actively try and kill some RM's on my PSU tester for WEEKS! Honestly mate these things are strong and they are sooooooo quiet.

I had the 1000w running at 500w for 20mins before the fan even kicked in.

They are quieter than the AXi's

and thats the problem.the heat will build up and pair that with those ltec and capXon cap rated 85C,worse caps ever,its a bad combo

if you want quiet then just use RM,altough there are psus with nice fan profile. a super flower golden king is better that AX psus and the fan will spin like once a day.and runs cooler too. if you are looking for a corsair unit,for the price that RM series cost, just buy AX.

Thats the thing they dont get ~hot~ the fan profile is set for temps.

You would have to use them in baking hot heat but then the fan just kicks in.

Ive been loading mine up with a hair drier blowing in the fan grill trying to kill them!!!

Corsair!!!! Follow TTLs advice DO NOT scrimp on your PSU you'll soon regret it especially if you get a OCZ (bankrupt) RMA will soon be impossible with what remains of the company, I know I have the OCZ ModXstream Pro 500w but it's soon to be replaced I've been lucky and gotten one of the good ones with the better caps but still it would not be my first choice these days.
