OCZ replacement for flash usb

Hey guys

My Rally2 usb stick has died...again

They dont have any more in stock until mid march either!

So i've been offered a 4gb ATV usb stick

Or

8gb Diesel

Question is

Which? lol

High speeds arent that useful in a usb drive are they unless you use large large large files as smaller files dont exactly use the full speed?

My conclusion from this is that the rally2 drive is not very reliable at all considering this is my second one to feck up

edit: Diesel only has 2 year warranty =/!

Do you carry it about a lot? If so DONT get the ATV. It may look rugged but I found out after a few days that its just rubber and if you bend it the PCB inside snaps

If they dont offer me the 8gb ATV (which is what Iv asked for as a good trade off) I'l just wait for the rally2 to come back into stock. Is the atv pcb snapping covered by warranty?

Anything oc3d can do to help me out?

I very much doubt it would be covered tbh mate. I'm fairly careful with my stuff and managed to kill it in a matter of days so I dont think you want the hassle really.

Diesel looks more rugged to me tbh.

Was your stick just a Rally2 or Rally2 Turbo? My Rally2 died after about 3 months, but the Turbo seems a lot better and has lasted for a lot longer so far.

What would be the best way to get hold of a Rally2 turbo then? Doubt they would let me pay the difference to upgrade to one

Who are you sending it back to mate OCZ or retailer?

OCZ - under the life warranty

Maybe ask for the Turbo and see what they say? Just mention you like the look/size of the Rally2 and the Turbo seems the closest match

Iv managed to sneak in the 8gb atv drive as a replacement

I did ask for perhaps the turbo but no response haha

Think the 8gb atv will be the best I can get out of them

I could sell it and get a turbo as a replacement
