OCCT - CPU:OCCT vs CPU:LINPACK

Hey Guys,

Wondering how you all find these two test modes work for you?

CPU:OCCT works much better for me tbh than CPU:LINPACK. ^_^

Works better? what do you mean, lower temps?

To clarify CPU:OCCT seems to work much better on my 2500k to flesh out unstable vcore, CPU:LINPACK just says everything is fine when its not really stable. ^_^

Example: 3.7Ghz at 1.075V is unstable, CPU:OCCT gives me a BSOD fairly quickly, CPU:LINPACK ticks away for hours like everything is fine.

Can be that way dude - just one of those things :)

Each CPU can be different even if they are all the same model too

From the OCCT Website about CPU:OCCT:

"This test is considered the best at detecting errors. It generates less heat than Linpack, but detects computing errors much quicker. Don't get fooled by the higher temperatures numbers of Linpack ! This one is much faster to detect errors."

Thanks, that's good to know. ^_^
