After Fragtek's recent departure from the Windows arena over to his laptop, the OC3D Streaming Station has gone somewhat unused.

PV has already agreed to fill some of the slots, but there's going to be lots of time when the station will go unused.

What i'm looking for is someone with:

- A decent internet connection (256k upload or more).

- A wide variety of modern music (Rap, Rock, Rave, Pop, Techno, Garage..almost anything goes)

- A microphone, and the ability to chat freely on it when people are turned in.

- The ability to leave their PC on, streaming music to the station day and night (or at least most of the time).

The station is advertised on Winamp.Com, so its not just OC3D listeners that will be tuning in, but people from around the whole world.

Interested? Reply :)

I'd do it but my measily upload is tied down with Dimes and Gaming, if I ever free up some upload speed I'll volunteer, XMS :D.

i get about 238 K upload avg. on my comp. I can run Trance and Rock . Nothing else ........ I do have a microphone and I can chat into the wee hours of the morning most of the time. Let me know if u need my services for now at least.

i could do another show in the week if it helps jim

i could also possibly cater for some "long streams" with happy hardcore,rap,garage,house..

let me know however i can help:)

cheers.

:topic: Ok that's it! I am moving to the UK! The techno/trance/etc scene here in the states has completely died yet it is still alive and kicking over there.

Back on topic. Once I get back to the states in August I will be able to stream just about anything. If you need someone to help out then just let me know.

Awesome to see so many people eager to DJ for OC3D radio! I do plan on getting back in to it full swing like I once was. I now have a bigger than ever playlist with over 13,000 heavy metal tracks so I'm ready for some hardcore streamage.

I'm currently looking for a good streaming program for Mac but I'm having a helluva time. Looks like the PC market pretty much dominates the Shoutcast world. They have the shoutcast plugin for Mac but that won't le me be DJ Fraggy in quite the style that I like to be :p

I'll keep searchin!

Good to hear Frag. A variety will be nice though :) My trance/nrgy/hh/etc collection is pretty close to your heavy metal collection :) About 11500 tracks, but remember, probably 300-400 of those are over an hour long :)

Bourne lives in the USA, rofl.

Idk but either you all would get a kick out of my music selection or you'd think I'm weird. I have a lot of old stuff.. old stuff. Frag said a few days ago I listen to weird ass music for my age but hey, I like it.

My post was in reference to enVias' posts. I started searching around the sites he linked and that is what made me decide that :)

I found a streaming proggy for Mac, yayayay!! :D :D

The only prob with it, is that it doesnt let me input from my mic on the fly like SAM let me do :( I need to see if theres a way to hack that **** up so I can do it. The software I found aint too terribly bad, but nothing compared to SAM.

I just need someone to test my streaming from across the pond. If someone can listen in on a test, I'll play a small set and if it's fine I'll start streaming. :) Someone lemme know if they're available for a test run pls, I'm contactable via msn...even though it says 'I'm away'

Shoutcast = Winamp only unless you have a special .asx file for WMP to run that lets it connect to shoutcast servers.
