Anyone know where I can get some blank metal keycaps for cherry switches at a reasonable price ?

I tried OCUK but they only have WASD printed/engraved metal keycaps but they are always out of stock.

Cooleo, Is it the added weight of the metal that would be a concerning factor ?

It would have to be stainless steel, but even then it would eventually overtime fail and stain anyway.

Oh wow, tarnish much.

Unfortunately I can't have anything made of Ally (think magic mouse) as my fingers/sweat apparently seem to just burn through it :S never really thought of having steel for keys, bet they're heavy as!

I think that most of the metal caps on the market are zinc plated, they wont last long. If you want a 'good' set, a set of 'scarface' metal caps were on sale for like 800 USD a while ago on Geekhack

Feeling a little mad at the price I paid but having seen how much these things go up in value and being a sucker for pretty hardware I invested in my first custom keyset group buy.
