ASUS ROG Strix Flare Mechanical RGB Keyboard Review

I like the understated look. I do not like the overstated price. At £160 you have so many options open to you that it's crazy. Like, real options such as Ducky and other proper keyboards.

I really like the media location, makes much more sense to have them in that area.
ASUS tax on the price is beyond daft as is the feeble cheap implementation of the wrist rest.

Just gonna jump in here, clarifying that Logitech also has the volume wheel on the right side, which I also find much better as ASUS' desing leaves the right side pretty much blank while overcrowding the left side, but that's just my problem with asthetics. Other than that, pretty standard keyboard, sadly no macro-keys and I also will never understand, why every manufacturer removed the key to OPEN the media player... My Logitech Media Keyboard Elite had it and I loved it! With my G910, I'd have to assign it to a G-Key first and here you just can't. Or did I miss something and all newer keyboards open the media player by a press on the play button?

I'm also gonna jump on the consensus train here, the pricetag is pretty hefty for what you get, imho.

//EDITh wants to know: What's up with the last picture on page 2?! The keyboard looks... BENT on the left side?? I hope that's just an optical illusion that comes from the cutout for the logo, but it definitely looks bent down on the left on the picture.

As Tom said it is for those who want to have ROG setup, and sync everything with one software. It is good to have options. You just choose the brand and looks that you like. I suppose they are all pretty similar in overall quality.
